1.耐磨性坯料在模具型腔中塑性变性时,沿型腔表面既流动又滑动,使型腔表面与坯料间产生剧烈的摩擦,从而导致模具配件因磨损而失效。
所以材料的耐磨性是最基本、最重要的性能之一。
一般情况下,模具配件的硬度越高,磨损量越小,耐磨性也越好,使用寿命就会长。因此模具配件的硬度是影响模具配件的寿命的主要因素。
2.强韧性
模具的工作条件大多十分恶劣,有些常承受较大的冲击负荷,从而导致脆性断裂。

3、抗疲劳断裂性能

磨损或产生塑性变形而失效。因此,模具材料应具有较高的抗回
火稳定性,以保证模具配件在较高的工作温度下,具有较高的硬度和强度。
5.耐蚀性
有些模具如塑料模在工作时,由于塑料中存在氯、氟等元素,受
热后分解析出 HCI、HF等强侵蚀性气体,侵蚀模具配件表面,加
大其表面粗糙度,加剧磨损失效。因此,模具配件需要耐腐蚀性。

鉴于以上几点,提出的以下预防措施:
1.应当严格选择原材料,确保真材实料;
2.相关材料热处理硬度一定要达到要求;
3.应当选用纯度高、杂质少、化学成分均匀、晶粒细.碳化物小、等各项性能好,疲劳强度高等特点的钢材;
4.可以对模具零件表面做强化处理,比如氮化处理,涂层处理(TiCN镀钛,DLC涂层等)从而提高模具配件表面抗疲劳强度;
4.在加工模具配件的时候,提高模具配件加工精度和表面光洁度;
